Reflection
Lately I’ve been going through an awakened journey of self discovery. A place of trying to find my own personal success and understand what that really means, and how it’s connected to my happiness. It’s astonishing how powerful we are when we raise the stakes of our lives by going within. Knowing that we are the creators of our own destiny and living that way are two very different ideals. The connection we feel to the universe, while at the same time going through personal pain, can be a complex joy. Most of the time it is with our deepest challenges, anxieties and fears that great change begins to happen. There is a shift in consciousness and this is one of the signs of growth. It is a sign that our spirits are ready to soar. The opposition, sometimes, sets in because our minds and our bodies have been stuck on what they have been doing for so long that they have not quite caught up to our spirit. It worked for so long so why not, right? Well, I say it is time to plant new seeds and take full responsibility for where we stand today, in this body, surrounded by the circumstances and people we have chosen to teach us the lessons we needed to learn. All this is necessary in order to vibrate higher, smile brighter, and live in our fullest potential.
Of course on my personal journey I like to find the humor in all things and that is why I love writing this blog. Life lessons come with some fabulous funny moments when we’re not taking everything so seriously. I mean, the amount of laughing I do is what keeps me sane on my expedition. Is it any coincidence that while I’m reflecting this morning and feeling all zen (candles lit, meditation happening), my dog just snuggles up next to me and farts on me and then leaves? Nope! This is just another reminder that I am a very small piece to a much larger puzzle. He too has a mission!
