Brought to you by noted Chef Susan Goin, who is no newbie to the restaurant scene. In fact, she is a James Beard Award Winner! With her extensive curriculum in the culinary world, Susan has lent her talents to Ma Maison, L’Orangerie in Los Angeles, Al Forno in Providence, Olives in Boston, Chez Panisse in Berkeley, and Alain Passard’s Arpège in Paris to name a few! She is known for her creations as Executive Chef at Campanile (one of my old time faves) which literally put her on the map and paved the way for her first solo restaurant, Lucques back in 1998.
Now, With Lucques, AOC & The Tavern in Brentwood going strong, Susan gives us The Larder Burton Way!
You will find this hot spot centrally located & charming with a friendly neighborhood in the city atmosphere. Once again featuring local, organic produce and meats in effort to support and celebrate local farmers and their produce, ladies and gents, the Larder is another brunch go to spot to add to your list! There is a daily happy hour, featuring organic and/or biodynamic wines, curated by her business partner and noted Sommelier Caroline Styne, specialty beers and organic coffee and teas. Brunch is served from 8am to 3pm weekdays, and on Weekends 8-5pm!!
Do not miss the green chilaquiles with Jalapeno Chorizo, Brisket Hash, Tavern Benedict with Gruyere, and the Challah French toast!!! Not in the mood for that you can easily slide down the menu for the Signature gourmet sandwich board, or charcuterie plates. Pair it with wine, or the best organic coffee I have ever had, and your Sunday will be heavenly!
Enjoy!
