You really strike a nerve with me here. This is one of my pet peeves and my husband has done this a few times. Although the ladies he’s compared me to are lovely and very pretty, I feel like he’s saying I look old. I don’t think he really means that, but, I take it as a dis. Maybe I’m just too sensitive. So this is one I’d have to say, stop and consider the source. If you feel in your heart like it’s a compliment than be gracious and take it such, BUT, if you feel like they’re trying to make a dig, then I would check them right then and there.
